Diálogo Brasil is one of the first schools of educational exchange in Brazil. Founded in 1989 in Salvador da Bahia, it is a reference in studies, companies, universities and institutions worldwide. That's over 26 years of teaching and training of acculturation Portuguese for foreigners. Tailor made programs for private studies, experience and quality in teaching Portuguese and Brazilian culture. The school is located on the 3rd most beautiful beach in the World, Porto da Barra, in the Barra neighborhood, elected in 2007 by the British Newspaper ‘The Guardian.’
We are a Portuguese Language School in Brazil that offers programs for all levels. Our programs include small group lessons, one-to-one, combos (group + private), and special training for the Celpe-Bras exam. We have been in the market for over 26 years, teaching Portuguese and Brazilian culture. Our school is located in Barra, which is one of the best neighborhoods in Salvador - Bahia, near the historic center (Pelourinho).
In general, the school welcomes people from all over the world, and most from United States, Europe and Latin America. The reasons for learning the Portuguese language in Brazil are very varied, including professional, commercial, cultural tourism, university programs and also personal motivations.
Activities:
- Capoeira Class; Book extra lessons or use your free class once a week for each week of Portuguese class!
- Water Sports; Tell us which water sport do you want to have classes and we'll make a budget and schedule the classes for you!
- Gastronomy; Learn how to cook all the delicious Brazilian food with once a week classes! They're free, and you just pay for the ingredients.
- Dance Class; Book extra lessons or use your free class once a week for each week of Portuguese class!
- Cultural Tours; Once a week go with our staff and your class meet some awesome place in Salvador, have fun and practice your portuguese!
- Volunteering; Let us know if you would like to be part of a volunteer and help people in need and we will schedule with needy institutions. That can be a great way to practice!
- Yoga; Each student get one free yoga class on portuguese course! If you like you can book more classes.
- Brazilian Movies; Once a week we choose a Brazilian movie to watch in group in our school. Of course, in Portuguese audio and with popcorn and soda ;)
The school offers homestay, a student residence, simple or tourist class hotels. All of them are at a walking distance to the school and to the beach.
Study at Diálogo Brasil
The strongest feature of the programs of Diálogo Brasil is a lot of conversational sessions in class, as well as the integration of cultural activities, following the principals of the Communicative Approach to Intercultural and Language teaching. Classes are taught in Portuguese and they are carefully prepared for each proficiency level. In a pleasant way, games, music, videos and other teaching methods are used to develop skills in listening and speaking, which prepare students to perform different tasks in real-life situations.
Lessons are always conducted in Portuguese, although all teachers are proficient in English and other languages. Student performance is evaluated according to the observation in the classroom as they are able to produce and understand the target language, as well as their commitment to learning and lessons.
